Janet

Centre Manager

Hi, I'm Janet, the Centre Manager for Starbeck and Knaresborough, where I thrive on the variety and challenges that each day brings. I enjoy working alongside a fantastic team of people and value the responsibility and opportunities my role provides. Outside of work, i love spending time with my partner, Richard, and our three border collies — George, Mildred, and Elsie.

Dr Michael

Associate Dentist

Michael graduated from Liverpool Dental School with honours and distinctions in all subjects. At graduation he was awarded with multiple academic prizes including the Malcom Foster Medal, a prestigious award given to the student with the highest overall finals grade. To demonstrate continual professional development, following graduation Michael obtained a diploma of membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. During his career he has worked a variety of jobs across Yorkshire including general practice and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery hospital post. Michael is trained in Invisalign teeth straightening and has attended further training in other topics and strives to provide high standards of general dentistry. Michael has a calm chair side manner and tries his best to make his patients feel calm, relaxed and well informed during their dental visits. Away from work he enjoys running and spending time with his Wife Annie and miniature sausage dog Noah.

Dr Marius

My name is Marius and I qualified as a dentist in 2012 in the capital of my home country, Bucharest . I first started working in England in 2015 providing general dentistry in the South East region. I previously completed the general restorative course with Tipton Training and more recently started to pursue my passion for Endodontics after completing the simply Endo course. For the future I would like to become a dentist with special interest in root canal therapy to be able to provide my patients with the best treatment and care to attempt and save natural teeth. In my spare time I do enjoy travelling and cooking. I am a big sports fan of football and Formula1 and I support Leeds United /Chelsea team and Red Bull Racing.

Dr Jonathan

I qualified from King's College Hospital London in 1982. Although not a Yorkshireman by birth I am the proud father of two Yorkshiremen. I can carry out a full range of dental treatments in practice. I also hold a part-time position at Harrogate hospital in the orthodontic department. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, fly-fishing and spending as much time as I can with my family.

Dr Stan

Stan qualified from Dental School of Athens (Greece) in 2001 and has been working in general practice since then, both in Greece and in the UK. After moving to Yorkshire in 2014, he completed a one-year postgraduate course in Implant Dentistry in Leeds and joined Starbeck Dental Centre in September 2022. He is passionate about helping patients feel at ease and working with them towards having a well-functioning, attractive dentition. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but his area of expertise is Implant Dentistry and Minor Oral Surgery. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and also provides mentorship to colleagues in their first steps in Implant Dentistry. Aside from dentistry, his other passion is music, as he sings, plays and teaches it. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Silvia and their two energetic children as well as walking, watching films and reading.

Sandie

Lead Receptionist

I am an experienced Lead Dental Receptionist with 14 years of dedicated service in the dental profession. Working three days a week, I thoroughly enjoy my role and take pride in providing excellent patient care, organisation, and support to both patients and colleagues.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time knitting, going for walks, and making special memories with my grandchildren. I am also a proud supporter of my son, who is a professional motorbike racer, and I enjoy following his racing career and cheering him on at every opportunity.
I value family, community, and maintaining a positive balance between my professional and personal life.
